Directory requirements
Our free directory list does not include just any directory. We carefully select and run frequent checks on our entire list. To get a general idea of what we are looking for in a directory, here are some key points to consider:
- Page Rank - Each directory should have at least a PR of 0 to be listed. This means that the PR must be already assigned (the toolbar should not display a grey bar). New directory submissions are automatically checked and rejected if this condition is not met.
- Website submissions - The directory should accept free website submissions without requesting a reciprocal link. Other listing options may also be present (featured, reciprocal, etc.) while keeping the free one available.
- SEO-friendly links - All the links in a directory should be completely crawlable by search engines. That means no redirects, no rel="nofollow" or other sneaky tricks.
- Accessibility - Just like any other website, the directory should be easy to navigate.
We reserve the right to reject any directory that we believe does not add any value to the list, has poor design, few categories etc.
If you find any directory in our list that does not comply with these guidelines or for other reasons, please report it ASAP and we will examine it.
